2017 AMMO Events

NOTICE:  For club sponsored road trips we will no longer print off maps for going to the destination or coming back.  If you do not have navigation in your car please print off maps or be familiar with how to get to the destination and get back in case you get separated from the group during the trip.

Cars N Coffee at Cup O' Joes:

When:  Every Saturday  9AM to 11AM…year round…sunshine(ideally), rain, or snow!

Where: Cup O’ Joe at Lennox Town Center, 1791 Olentangy River Road Columbus, OH 43212

This is NOT an AMMO event and is open to any vehicle.  A handful of club members go almost every Saturday once the weather starts to improve in early Spring.  Bring your Modern Mopar or any other car... have a cup of coffee, walk and talk cars.  You will see regulars there and also some very strange rat rods and everything in between.  You never know from week to week what you will see.  The largest group of cars begins to show up once the weather starts to turn nice in early Spring through about July.  Sometimes there can be upwards of 100 cars show up. The only rule is no burnouts.

April Meet N Greet:

The 1st official Meet & Greet of 2017 is scheduled! Yes it's at a different location. For the M&G's this year we are going to try to have one on each side of town. The new owner of RudeDog @ Polaris is very excited to welcome us! He will have parking lot space coned off for us!
They are open 11:30am to 2:30am Monday-Sunday, with 80s/90s DJ on Friday nights and DJ/Karaoke on Saturday nights.

4th Annual AMMO/NEOhio Mopar 'Dust off' Meet:

When:  Saturday May 6th

Its that time again!!! Get 'em out and dust them off!! First meet up of the season for NE Ohio Mopar and AMMO. This has been a great time last year few years! Let's meet up in Mansfield to have lunch with the NEO crew - pending weather

AMMO crew will meet at Quaker Steak & Lube Polaris at around 10:00am and depart promptly at 10:30am to head up to meet the NEO crew at Logans Roadhouse for lunch. See map.

Both groups should arrive at Logans around 11:30 AM

We will figure out the rest from there (The Reformatory is usually on the list for pics after lunch)!

May Meet N Greet:

Since this is May we meet during the day instead of after dinner since the temps are not that warm yet.  The only rule to this is no burnouts, show up and stay as long as you would like.

Caravan to Wright Patterson AFB Meet up with Miami Valley and TriState Mopar Clubs:

Details to follow. We will caravan from Columbus to Wright Patt AFB and meet up with both car clubs. Afterwards we will go to a local restaurant.

Caravan to Landolls Mohican Castle for lunch:

AMMO Club 8th Annual Club Picnic:

When: Sunday June 25th, 2017 11AM till 3:30PM

FYI:  THIS EVENT is rain or shine as we have already rented the shelter. 

If there is ONE event you should attend this is the one!

 We typically have 30-45 cars show up for this event. We have reserved the shelter for the first part of the day so you may arrive anytime after 11:00 AM and we will try and eat at Noon and have to be out by 3:30PM.  This shelter has electricity and restrooms as well as swings and a large playfield.  We'll be supplying hot dogs, brats, buns, condiments, paper plates and plasticware and ask that the rest bring a dish to share (if you'd like) as well as what you'd like to drink.  As an FYI, no alcohol is permitted in the park. If you cannot or don't want to come for the food, come anytime you want and just hang out.  Bring your camera and lawn chairs as well if you'd like. There are picnic tables however.  Also, the Park Rangers are very particular about going the posted speed limit in the park, so please, follow the posted speed limits so we are welcomed to come back next year.  We will have a donation box in the shelter to help cover the costs of this event and a good assortment of great door prizes to give away that we will give away at 1:30.

Also,  we are going to try and have 'like' cars park together so we can take group pictures of the same models parked in a line.  So, when you show up try and park near other cars like yours if possible.

July Cruise to Ohio Caverns:

When:  TBD (July 23 possible) , 1PM

Where:  Caravan to Ohio Caverns in West Liberty OH

We will meet in the parking lot behind Wendy's / Tim Horton's (6850 Hospital Dr. Dublin, OH) leaving promptly at 1PM and caravan to the Ohio Caverns (2210 East State Route 245 West Liberty OH).  Tickets for Adults are $17 and kids are $9 each.  Upon leaving the caverns, we will take a slightly different way back into Columbus to stop at a covered bridge in Union County that is a great photo op as it is on a dead end road.  You will be provided with a map that will detail where this covered bridge is.

July Meet N Greet:

7th Annual Cruise for Tots Toy Drive:

When:  November 12th 10:00 AM

Where:  We will meet at the McDonalds at Hunter Ridge (298 S Hamilton Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230) , leave promptly at 10AM, and cruise to The Heath Target 270 Airport Parkway Heath where there is an event to gather toys. This is NOT an AMMO Club event. However we have done this for the past four years.

Here are the details:

We're back at it for our 7th annual Cruise For Tots toy drive on November 12th. Do you have a passion for cars, trucks, bikes and or simply enjoy helping those in need out? Well this is the event for you! What started out as a group of friends buying toys for some kids in need back in 2010, has quickly grown in to one of the biggest toy drives in Central Ohio. Last year we collected 1,247 toys, this year the goal is to collect 2,500!! The event starts out as a car meet with everyone going inside of Target to purchase toys, it then finishes up with a cruise out to the House of New Hope where we drop off the toys and they have snacks and drinks waiting for us. You are not required to participate in the cruise portion of the event, but you are more than welcome to do so. If you have any questions/concerns, feel free to shoot us a message!
